Recycling Information for Sands Township, Michigan

Sands Township, MI. Location for Recycling drop-off.

Drop-off recycling is now available at the Sands Township Office Complex.   Residents can find the bin near the driveway and Sands Park sign as you enter the parking area for the Office and Park Complex.  If the bins are full, please notify the office and keep your recyclables until there is room in the bins.  DO NOT PILE ANY ITEMS NEXT TO THE DUMPSTERS.

 Some acceptable items for single stream recycling include:

* Aluminum/Steel/Tin Cans              *Aluminum Foil             *Plastic Bottles (regardless of number)        *Glass Bottles and Jars     *Newspaper      *Brown Paper Bags     *Magazines      *Bulk or Junk Mail        *Cardboard       *Chipboard (cereal boxes, etc.)        *Paper – Envelopes, Office Paper, scrap, etc.       *Telephone Books       *Milk and Juice Cartons (Aseptic Containers)

PLEASE HELP KEEP RECYCLING COSTS DOWN BY BREAKING DOWN ALL CARDBOARD BOXES, FLATTENING ANY PLASTIC JUGS OR ALUMINUM CANS, AND PREPARING OTHER ITEMS TO TAKE UP AS LITTLE SPACE AS POSSIBLE.

PLEASE NO PLASTIC BAGS, SHREDDED PAPER, HOUSEHOLD WASTE, STYROFOAM, OR SCRAP METAL.
